Sexy Beach Photoshoot In Maryland

This past winter seemed to last forever. Spring also ushered in low temperatures and cloudy days but as the weather began to warm up, I knew I wanted to get outdoors and create something beautiful and alluring. The idea for a sexy beach photoshoot struck me and I knew I had to make it happen before this Maryland weather turned unbearably humid.

I’d worked with Keia for her boudoir session last year and I knew that I’d want to capture a completely different look for her this time. When I presented the idea she said “I’m down for whatever!”. Oh the trust! We got to planning just days before shooting and gathering everything we needed to make it happen. We met at sunrise and I did her makeup right there in the beach parking lot while we listened to music.

Beginning the shoot, all I wanted to do was do some justice to my muses; this beautiful location and my gorgeous client. This photoshoot was extremely liberating for me as it had been quite a while since I’d done makeup for a client or anyone other than myself for that matter. I was able to push myself beyond what I thought I could do because of Keia’s faith and trust in my abilities. I was in a new environment, doing new things and I came out a better artist than I went in.

Here’s Keia’s take on the shoot and her experience in her own words.

“Everyday I’m a mom, doing ten million things while mentally mapping out how to make sure everyone’s needs are being met. 40 + hours a week I’m reading emails, analyzing accounts or headed to another meeting hoping there’s hot coffee left. I’m a student, a sister, aunt, daughter, niece, God-mom and friend praying for more time and energy so that I can be the best that everyone deserves. It’s the greatest honor and most challenging responsibility of my life.

There aren’t many moments when I can release all of the demands and enjoy me. Veronica, gave me that moment. I was transformed into the woman I fantasize about being. I was beautiful, fearless, sexy, I demanded attention without saying a word. I wasn’t just taking pictures I was life and art. For that I am forever grateful.
