Once you’ve booked your session, the next item on your list of things to do is to start gathering boudoir outfit ideas.  Most clients tell me they have no clue what they’ll wear for their session but I always advise: Check your wardrobe first.  There are so many creative ways to bring an outfit together from what you already have.  If you’re lacking in the creativity department, I’ve got you.

For Rebecca’s recent session, we paired together her Calvin Klein sport underwear set with her jean jacket and ripped booty shorts.  We started her session with everything on and then undressed as the session progressed.  With this set alone we were able to capture lots of variety and the art of undressing is a downright sexy idea all on it’s own.

Boudoir Photography Outfit Ideas

“What should I wear?” When it comes to boudoir photography, this has to be the most frequently asked question asked by my clients. If your head is also buzzing with the same query, look no further. I have put to gather a list of best boudoir photography outfit ideas:

1. Bathing in the Milk

The most adorable idea would be to soak in a milk bath while wearing only a bra and holding flowers in your hands. You will look elegant and mysterious in this sensual boudoir attire. Though this is going to be really sensual, but not over the top.

2. Kimono

Kimonos are not just for kicking back and relaxing in. If used properly, it could be an extremely seductive piece of drapery that only reveals the areas you want to be photographed.

3. Nightgown

You may not have the physique of Victoria’s Secret model. However, a pleated gown can enhance your beauty like anything. This boudoir photography outfit idea is hands down one of the most sultry, sensuous, and boudoir costumes.

4. High-waisted shorts with a lacy bra

Pose in high-waisted shorts and a lace bra and you will be sure to get amazing boudoir photographs. To complete the sexy look, add volume and texture and use red lipstick.

5. Maxi

Everyone I know has at least one maxi dress. Get one immediately if you do not already have one. They have a global appeal. In the appropriate environment, they can also be sexy and sensuous.

6. Leather jacket

Leather jackets come in a plethora of styles, and each one can be used for boudoir photography. Let your imagination run wild. A moto jacket is considerably different from a duster, but they are both equally attractive in their own way.

7. Bodysuit

If you want to seem attractive in your boudoir attire, a bodysuit is the best choice. It is a terrific way to disguise your stomach in the picture. Lace bodysuits are typically more seductive than their counterparts.
