I was talking with my mentor early last week, when it dawned on me. This wasn’t an option, it was a calling. An unshakable feeling down to the very last cell in my body that I had to share my passion for helping women realize how beautiful and powerful they are. Far too many women are worn down by the pressures of life and we let outside circumstances dictate how we feel about ourselves.  Others simply don’t take time to pour back into themselves after giving everything they’ve got to everyone else.  But you can’t pour from an empty cup…

My client, Shonda decided to do just take to celebrate her 46th birthday and what a day it was for her. During her reveal she even invited her 23 year old daughter to see the images we had created. Her daughter was in awe and so proud of her mother for celebrating herself. A few of the comments she had made admiring her mother moved me in such a way that my eyes watered with tears. She said, “Mom, you look so beautiful and confident. I’m glad you did this for yourself and I can see the glow in you even brighter now.”

This is an experience women can be proud of. It’s a signal that you don’t have to hide your images once your session is complete. Your daughters are watching. You teach them how to love themselves by the example you set in the way that you love yourself. Be the light for our daughters AND our sons because men need to know how to appreciate women in a proper way as well.
