Making the decision to do a boudoir shoot was a decision to love myself; to put myself and my body first. I was turning 40 the week after my session date and I knew I needed this. The thought of turning 40 terrified and saddened me. I wasn’t sure what to expect or if I’d have the nerve to go through with it but I was determined not to let my anxiety ruin it.

When I arrived at the studio, I was nervous, but Veronica was so kind and encouraging. She made me feel comfortable from time I walked into the studio. Not to mention, the music playlist helped to set the right tone for the day.

I felt so stupid at first and I knew for sure we wouldn’t get any great shots. Veronica encouraged me not to be so closed down and in my head.

I can say that she proved me wrong in every way possible.I had the very best time during my shoot. Once I let go, I was able to express myself in a way that authentic and didn’t feel “posey”.

When we reviewed the images, I was stunned to see just how beautifully she captured me. I was in awe. I’m so proud of the photos that we created and I can’t wait for my wall art to arrive. 

I not only look good but I feel good. I did something I thought I’d never be able to pull off and that makes such a bold statement. I didn’t just step out of my comfort zone but I JUMPED and I’m thankful. This was the best gift I could have purchased for my 40th birthday. Thank you, Veronica!
