The first thing clients say after they book and exclaim how excited they are is, “I don’t even know what to wear!”
Ahh yes, you’ve booked your session and reality is setting in that this is actually happening. Uncertainty sets in and sometimes even a little panic with the realization you have no clue what you’ll look good in, or where you’ll find something to wear. I never leave my clients hanging–not for a second. Once you book your session, we’ll talk about everything from your body type to what appeals to your sense of style. From there, I direct you to some of my favorite lingerie shops and boutiques.
And while defaulting to Victoria’s Secret or Fredericks is great when you’re in a pinch, I encourage you to look elsewhere if you’ve booked your session far enough in advance. There are so many amazing options out there and you’ll find pieces that are more likely to be unique to your session.
Shopping for lingerie is an intimate experience and although I’m going to be sharing lots of online boutiques and resources, I encourage you to drop in to a boutique to get fitted for an idea of your proper sizes before doing your online shopping.
What to Wear for Your Boudoir Session
Today, I’m going to be sharing with you one of my favorite lingerie brands, For Love & Lemons.
I first discovered the brand as I’d gone through a phase of everything “Chic Boheme”. During that time, I only shopped at places like Lucky Brand, Free People & Urban Outfitters and I stumbled across For Love & Lemons while browsing Free People. I’ve been swooning over their lingerie line ever since. Here are some of my favorite pieces in which you might find perfect and appropriate for your boudoir session.
